A simple cell:
· Contains fewer than 50 hosts
· Provides service to fewer than 100 users
· Has no single-point-of-failure requirement on its services
· Has DCE core services residing on one or multiple server machines
· Has machines and users connected only by a LAN
Simple cells may be less reliable than complex cells if they adopt a failsoft configuration.
