What Is a Complex Cell?

A complex cell:

· Contains more than 50 hosts

· Provides service to 100 to 10,000 users

· Possibly has at least one requirement for no single point of failure on a service

· Hosts DCE core services on dedicated server machines

· Replicates some or all DCE core services on multiple server machines

· Has machines and users connected by a LAN or a WAN

Complex cells can be more reliable than simple cells if they adopt a failsafe configuration.
