The DCE Client tab on the PC-DCE Configuration panel is used to define basic DCE client attributes. It includes the following fields and options:
CDS Server Host Name field — Lists the hostname of the client's preferred CDS server.
Configure Client Daemons checkbox — Enables or disables DCE client daemons on your system.
· Enabling client daemons creates a full client configuration on your system, which runs, at minimum, the DCE daemon (dced) and CDS Advertiser (cdsadv).
· Disabling client daemons creates a lightweight client configuration on your system, which runs RPC functionality but does not run the DCE daemons.
Administrator Principal Name and Administrator Password fields — To configure client daemons, you are required to provide administrator credentials.
