The Custom tab on the PC-DCE Configuration panel is used to define the security server, CDS, and DTS settings used by the system. It includes the following fields and options:
Cell Name field — Lists the name of the cell of which this system is a member. Client systems display the cell name with the syntax /.../cell_name. Cell servers display the cell name with the syntax cell_name.
Cell Administrator Principal and Password fields — For cell configuration changes, you are required to provide administrator credentials.
Security Service options:
· Client, Primary Server, and Replica radio buttons — Indicates whether this system is a security service Client, or the Primary security server, or a security server replica.

Cell Directory Service options:

Distributed Time Service checkbox — Enables or disables the cell's use of the Distributed Time Service daemon (dtsd). dtsd is an option for full client configurations as well as servers. For more information about Time Server options see Configuring Additional DCE Servers.
LAN Profile Name field — Lists the LAN profile in which the DTS daemon on your system looks for the network locations of DTS servers. The default LAN profile entry is /.:/lan-profile. This information is used only when the Distributed Time Service checkbox is enabled.
Local Time Server, Global Time Server, and Time Service Client radio buttons — Shows the time service currently in use. Active only when the Distributed Time Service checkbox is enabled.
