Insert a Cell Entry in the Viewer

Adding a cell entry in the DCE Director Cells viewer allows you to access a remote cell. Unauthenticated access is available once you add a cell entry in the viewer. You can browse the CDS namespace and the Security Registry with DCE Director by selecting the cell name and double-clicking on any of the objects in the Select a kind of object viewer. If you have problems accessing the remote cell's Security Registry, be sure that you do not have the BIND_PE_SITE environment variable defined.

If you need authenticated access to the remote cell, a trust relationship needs to be set up between your workstation's cell and the remote cell that you want to manage.
