1. Run DCEsetup on the system you want to configure as a Security server.
a. Pull down the Configuration menu and choose Create>Server....
b. In the Server Configuration Wizard Screen 1, enter the name for the new cell. (The DCE host name should be provided for you.)
c. Uncheck the Directory Server box, if checked.
d. Ensure that the Security Server and Master options are selected, verify the DTS configuration selected, and enter the appropriate account and password information. Click Next.
e. In the Server Configuration Wizard Screen 2, supply the host name or IP address of the master CDS server and any other required information and desired configuration options. When you are done, click Next.
f. On Screen 3, verify the information requested and click Next.
g. In the Server Configuration Information dialog box, click Finish. When the Security server is successfully configured, a dialog box appears, asking you to move to the system where the CDS server is to reside.
2. Run DCEsetup on the system that you want to configure as a master CDS server.
a. Pull down the Configuration menu and choose Create>Server....
b. Enter the cell name for this system. (The DCE host name should be provided for you.) The cell name must be the same as that of the first system.
c. Ensure that the Directory Server and Master options are selected.
d. Uncheck the Security Server check box, verify the DTS configuration selected, and enter the appropriate account and password information. Click Next.
e. In the Server Configuration Wizard Screen 2, supply the host name or IP address of the security server, and any other required information and desired configuration options. When you are done, click Next.
f. On Screen 3, verify the information requested and click Next.
g. In the Server Configuration Information dialog box, click Finish to complete the CDS server configuration. When complete, you can pull down the Administration menu and choose Test… to verify the configuration.
3. Return to the first system and click OK to complete the Security server configuration. When complete, pull down the Administration menu and choose Test….
Note: To delete a split server configuration using Unconfigure, first run the DCEsetup procedure on the system that is running the CDS server and select the Unconfigure… option on the Configuration menu. Then run DCEsetup on the system that is running the Security server and select the Unconfigure… option.
