DCEsetup gathers configuration information whenever there is a need to update the status of DCE daemons on your system. This occurs at various times, such as when you first configure a system, start or stop DCE, or when you perform a refresh operation.
Depending on the operation requested, the process of gathering configuration information may make queries to remote servers. If there are network or server anomalies in the cell, this operation may appear to take a long time. If you wish to regain control from your DCEsetup window, you can use the Cancel button on the DCEsetup dialog box.
When you cancel, you abort the gathering operation and exit from the DCEsetup program. Canceling the operation does not destroy any existing configuration information for your system. To repeat your operation or review the results of your last operation, you will need to run DCEsetup again.
