All DCE configurations require you to provide a name for your system that is unique within your DCE cell. In most cases, you should use the default host name. The default host name is, typically, the fully qualified host name.
To perform DCE configurations, you must provide DCEsetup with a principal name and password.
For most client system configurations, the principal name you provide must have privileges to perform cell administration operations. The exception is local client configurations, which do not require cell administration privileges.
For server system configurations, the principal name you provide will be created in the Security registry with the necessary cell administration privileges.
