Creating a New DCE Cell

A cell must exist before you can use DCE services. If you are not joining an existing DCE cell, you must use DCEsetup to create a new DCE cell with a CDS server and a Security server.

You need to define a name for your new DCE cell that is unique in your global network and is the same on all systems that participate in this cell.
