More Servers Tab

The More Servers tab is available only if you have installed the PC-DCE server kit. It is not available if you have installed only the PC-DCE Client kit.

Use the More Servers tab to configure the additional servers that PC-DCE offers. These options are available only after the system has been configured as a DCE client or cell server.

The More Servers tab includes the following fields and options:

Time Server checkbox — Indicates whether the system is running as a DTS local or global server.

Audit Server checkbox — Indicates whether the system is running the auditd daemon. This option is available on all supported Windows operating systems except Windows 95.

Password Strength Server checkbox — Indicates whether the system is running as a password strength management server. This option is available on all supported Windows operating systems except Windows 95.

Global Directory Agent checkbox — Indicates whether the system is running GDAD. This is required only for intercell operations.

DTS Client checkbox — Indicates whether the system is running as a DTS client. You cannot enable the Time Server checkbox and the DTS Client checkbox simultaneously.

Name Service Interface Daemon checkbox — If you check this box and click OK, the Name Service Interface Daemon (NSID) is started.

Cell Administrator Principal and Password fields — For cell server configurations, you are required to provide administrator credentials.
