User Action:
Opening or copying an ACL

Meaning:
The named cell specified in the path of the object whose ACL is being opened or copied to is not known to your cell.

Corrective Action:

1. Check the spelling of the cell name of the object.

2. Check that you have the proper namespace connectivity, if the object is in a cell other than your local cell. To check this, use the kdestroy command to destroy your credentials. Then, as an unauthenticated user, start the CDS control program, and use the following command:

show dir /.../cellname

where /.../cellname is the name of the cell with which you want connectivity. If the command succeeds, your cell has namespace connectivity to the other cell.

3. Check that your cell has a trust relationship with the other cell, after you establish that you have namespace connectivity. Issue the show dir /.../cellname as an authenticated user. To do this;

 · Perform a DCE login operation.

 · Start the CDS control program and issue the show dir command

If the command succeeds, you have a trust relationship with the other cell. If the command fails, you can only view ACLs in the other cell as an unauthenticated user.
